Let’s walk in the woods, the wolf isn’t in our neighbourhoods*… But that could all change? Because it could not have escaped readers of the national press that the wolf is advancing throughout France and has recently been spotted in The Aube and the Haute-Marne (article in French). In other words, not very far from the North. DailyNord therefore legitimately asks: what are the chances of the wolf showing up on our doorstep?
Response of the State services, which also have a site about the Wolf: “it isn’t possible to make such predictions because we don’t know why the Wolf settles somewhere for reasons other than territorial and food.” So, ironically, the Wolf does as he pleases, and if he intends to come in the Nord – Pas-de-Calais only he knows.” But there are two points to be noted, the experts add: the distribution of wolves is important and they are capable of migrating several hundred kilometres before settling down in a new territory. And “the wolf is adaptable species that can be found in mountainous regions, on the plains, in forests and in agricultural areas… but like all wild animals, he fears the presence of humans”.
Morality: the wolf is not here yet but for how much longer?
